CREATING NAVIGATION ROUTES FOR NUVI 500 or 550
The Nuvi 5x0 family (500, 550) is the lowest-priced Garmin suited for boat navigation. It is a multi-purpose GPS that can in addition be used for hiking and driving. In order to create a navigation route, two PC (or Mac) programs are used. Route is created in HomePort, transferred to BaseCamp to make it intelligible for the Nuvi, then transferred to Nuvi.
